Important Announcement on Upcoming Severe Heatwave

We would like to inform all dear citizens that, according to meteorological forecasts, Afghanistan will experience an unprecedented rise in temperature in the coming days. In particular, Kabul and several central provinces are expected to face a severe heatwave with temperatures higher than usual.

These weather changes may have significant impacts on public health, water resources, electricity supply, and daily activities. Therefore, we kindly urge all fellow citizens to take the following safety and health precautions seriously:

• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during peak heat hours (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
• Stay in cool, shaded places as much as possible and ensure proper ventilation.
• Increase water intake and avoid caffeinated or sugary drinks.
• Take extra care of the elderly, children, and patients, as they are more vulnerable to heat related illnesses.
• In case of symptoms of heatstroke (dizziness, nausea, weakness, or severe fatigue), seek medical attention immediately.
