Climate and Environment Coordination Platform (CECOP), formerly known as ENRMN, is a volunteer group of environment activists, experts, and social activists working towards the betterment of the environment and natural resources in Afghanistan. The platform was established in December 2012 in an initiative by 18 civil society organizations. The initial aim was to ensure effective coordination, advocacy, and oversight over the peaceful and sustainable extraction and exploitation of natural resources in the country. The platform's primary objective was to monitor the extraction of mines and its impact on the local communities, their livelihood, safety, and well-being. However, over the years, it has encompassed monitoring of environmental aspects of natural resources. CECOP envisions a safe environment, sustainable use of natural resources, and climate-resilient communities in Afghanistan.
